I stare down at my coffee cup. I watch its lid carefully. “Caution: Hot Contents”. I giggle, because these days all art is content and some are hot and others not. GET BURNT, I think to myself. Patience is key.
The thing about these cups is that if the lid isn’t well shut and you grab it in a certain way, the very Hot Contents(TM) will spill all over and burn you. If something like this happens, whoever provided the coffee could be held accountable. The Hot Contents sign prevents that from happening, since you had ALL the information all along, so it is ultimately your fault if you get burnt.
Responsibility lies within you, but it’s so hard to handle because you’re mentally exhausted and highly caffeinated. Strange feelings, fidgeting fingertips, blinking hard.
